Book your tour via their website and you will get a tour by the most warm, history lovers and kind people, where they will guide you through a German bunker, the museum with insane findings and a replica of a WW1 British tank.
It is a must visit for all the history lovers and definitely our favorite gem!

The museum has a couple of monuments at the area outside for the Christmas Truce of 1914 and inside is probably the smallest you will find. The main attraction is the fake tree that was used as observation post or sniper nest.

Lieutenant Colonel Humphrey Scott led the attack to these German bunker on 26 September 1917. They managed to get the bunker but 3 days later Scott died close to the bunker. You will find a sign on the main dirt road inside the Zonnebek forest that will lead you to the bunker

Hill 60 Ypres

Heavy battles took place in that hill and you can see signs everywhere. Craters, destroyed bankers and pieces of metal and concrete prove that. You can walk around the memorial site and you will easily realize that this was a place where a lot of people horribly lost their lives
Pool of Peace

June of 1917 was marked by the detonation of 19 mines under the German bunkers and lines between Ploegsteert and Hill 60. The pool of peace was one of the largest ones with a diameter of 129 meters. Take the small path around the main site and you will see the destroyed german bunker as well
